Happy Easter | refunds | facebook initiative

Dear friends,

It is so nice that, with the help of technology, we communicate, although the hotel is closed. Thank you for your support and kind words which we receive every day.

We are preparing “eleonas hotel” to host you and we are confident that before long we will see your happy smiles and we will hear your laughter. The tranquil beach, the breathtaking view, Stefanos and I will be there to welcome you.

Meanwhile please feel free to change or cancel your booking. We are returning the deposits even if the booking was a “non refundable” one.

Stay home, stay safe and plan your next vacation.

Stefanos is still working every day at the olive grove. He and our three workers have planted broad beans next to olives as soil improver. They contain bacteria on their roots that withdraw nitrogen from the air and concentrate it in plant nodules. The nodules then add the nitrogen to the soil in a form that the olive tree can use.

a slogan somebody made for farmers :we stay in the fierld ( we remain working in the field)

Now they are pruning the last olive trees of the estate and they are shredding the small branches. The leaves and the wood chips are left on the ground. They will protect the soil from the summer heat.

We still have olive oil for sale.

I am working from home.

I sleep more, I eat more, sitting at a table, (not usual when the hotel is open), I relax.

I take long walks and observe the spring flowers.

Here is a sample of the color pallet: red, white, yellow, purple.

It is so sad that you cannot come. But stay home today, so you can travel tomorrow.

Hati, our dog, is uncertain which trek to follow.

It is so quiet without guests who she was accompanying in their walks and they were stroking her endlessly.

But when the time is right and you come, we will be here to host you and help you relax.

I occupy my free time with handicraft. I made this panel as a joke but it became almost a reality.

I also follow on- line seminars on tourism,  getting knowledge and ideas.

I am grateful to the Greek Government for the way they are dealing with this crisis and the measures they have taken. It is not over yet, so stay home and dream of your next trip to Greece.

We hope you are all well and coping as best as possible with these unusual, stressful and worrying times. We send you our warmest thoughts and best wishes for Easter.

We suggest you to follow us on facebook and/or Istagram and post a picture of your holidays at “eleonas hotel” with  #eleonashotel. This will keep us company until the next time…

kind regards

Marina and Stefanos
