time to rebuild | eleonas hotel | eleonas Vallis estate

Dear friends,

Last year, around this time, we spent a lot of time and money to cut down burnt out pine trees. We managed to "clear” a small part of the estate.

This year the remaining, standing burnt trees are slowly falling on their own (due to rain and wind).

It is very hard to restore the estate to the good condition it was before the fire of 2021. But we are proud to see the plants that you helped us water last year, growing.

We are carrying out maintenance work at the hotel. I don’t have any pictures because I had a minor operation and was not going around. You should come and see with your own eyes.

I also took a trip to Jordan with a friend of mine. A decision I made on the spur of the moment because if I had thought about it more, I probably would not have accepted the invitation to accompany my friend at this time. I am happy I went.

Jordan is a country with a variety of landscapes, monuments and references to the Old Testament. I collected knowledge, experiences and photos.

I also sat down at the loom and weaved two variations of the same  theme “OLIVE TREE".

This year the olives had no fruit at all, as a result there is only a small quantity of  olive oil.

Stefanos planted a few young olive trees, to replace some of the burnt ones.

We are in the final stages of construction and hope to complete the olive press building very soon.

There will be rooms for olive oil tastings and for the presentation of the video about the history of the estate.

We wish you a happy New Year

Stay health, keep your taste for work and your good mood for travel.
